Description
We are looking for an Account Manager to oversee one of our largest customer accounts in the Twin Cities, MN.
What you'll be doing:
1. Maintain and increase profitable sales with assigned accounts consistent with Company goals, policies, and procedures.
2. Identify, develop, and expand sales to assigned key accounts, their affiliates, and divisions.
3. Close sales and process orders through Customer Service using established Company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
4. Lead and coordinate the presentation of Company strategies, programs, proposals, and quotations to generate sales; follow Company policies and supplier guidelines for pricing decisions included in proposals; implement price increases and make effective use of Company resources including people and time.
5. Continuously enhance knowledge of Nott Company services and products, markets, and customer applications to maximize our ability to satisfy customer needs.
6. Provide customer feedback to Manager regarding our level and quality of service.
7. Monitor and assist in the resolution of disputes and returns in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Maintain customer records, activity reports, Nott Company Opportunity Tracker, pricing schedules and other business records as directed.
9. Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement, especially those that lead to maximizing direct customer contact time.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Minimum 5 years business to business outside sales experience.
- Effective negotiating, selling and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good business acumen.
- Ability to travel overnight ~30% of the time, or as required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position has a base salary plus uncapped commissions. Participates in profit participation bonus. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
