Job Title – Legal Counsel GAPAC SolCo

Location – Shanghai, China

This position is part of the Solutions business (Solco) within Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH). This is one of the two standalone entities to be created from ANH, as part of the divestment to CVC Capital. 

Responsible for overall finance controlling and support business & operational activities of Essco trading companies in China and Singapore.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial, supply chain, and functional teams across Greater APAC, delivering practical and business-oriented legal advice.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including sales, distribution, procurement, service, and confidentiality contracts.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and contractual risks while supporting business growth and commercial objectives.
• Act as a trusted business partner, collaborating with stakeholders across countries and functions in a complex matrix organization.
• Support compliance, ethics, and corporate governance activities, including competition law, anti-bribery, sanctions, data protection, and legal entity governance matters.
• Coordinate external counsel where required and ensure effective prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement of legal processes and ways of working.

You bring

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction, with 4–8 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or multinational company.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and advising on legal risk management.
• Sound knowledge of commercial law, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements in a business environment.
• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice and balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with experience working across cultures and matrix organizations.
• Fluent English communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regional environment.
