Senior Cost Accountant

Location: Fully Onsite
Experience Required: 3+ years (cost accounting experience required)

Position Overview

Seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support inventory valuation, cost accounting operations, financial reporting, and manufacturing analysis in a fast-paced environment. This role partners closely with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate costing, reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Maintain and manage standard inventory costing processes
• 
  Support month-end and year-end close activities related to costing and inventory
• 
  Perform variance analysis, overhead analysis, reconciliations, and inventory reporting
• 
  Prepare operational reports, including labor, purchase price variance, and cost analysis
• 
  Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting and operational issues
• 
  Assist with audit schedules and financial reporting requirements
• 
  Manage annual cost updates and LIFO reserve schedules
• 
  Support transfer pricing activities and finance projects
• 
  Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 
  3+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in cost accounting
• 
  Manufacturing industry experience required
• 
  Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard cost systems
• 
  ERP experience required (JDE preferred)
• 
  Advanced analytical and Excel skills
• 
  Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
