Summary:
As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves engaging closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding existing data structures and designing new data models that align with business needs and technical requirements. This position requires continuous collaboration to ensure data models are accurate, efficient, and support organizational goals. The Data Modeler plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation by translating complex requirements into structured data solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to ensure data models meet quality and performance standards.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to align data strategies.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Netezza.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and relational database design.
- Ability to analyze and optimize database performance and query efficiency.
- Familiarity with data integration techniques and ETL processes.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data requirements.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in IBM Netezza.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
