Summary:
As a Web Developer, a typical day involves designing, constructing, and thoroughly testing web-based applications that support various components of a website. The role includes editing and updating site content to ensure relevance and accuracy. Additionally, the position requires documenting technical designs and specifications in detail. Continuous research is conducted to integrate the latest content and improvements into websites, ensuring they remain current and effective for users. Collaboration with different teams to align web functionalities with project goals is also a key part of daily activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in web development to enhance team productivity and project quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- Strong knowledge of web application architecture and development lifecycle.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing code for performance and scalability.
- Ability to document technical designs and specifications clearly and comprehensively.
- Familiarity with integrating updated content and maintaining website functionality.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive web solutions.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
