At Eni, we are looking for an Accountant to join Eni Natural Energies Côte d'Ivoire S.A. in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. You will be responsible for performing general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, revenue and taxes. The role requires ensuring that reporting requirements are met for each closing period (monthly, quarterly, and annual).

Main responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions by entering accounting information into the SAP accounting system (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue, and taxes)
• Ensure that all transactions are supported by a clear audit trail
• Perform monthly accounting closing activities in line with Eni Group reporting requirements
• Liaise with suppliers and customers on AP/AR-related matters
• Support the preparation of periodic direct and indirect tax reports for submission to fiscal authorities, including statutory filings
• Perform monthly internal controls and account reconciliations
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with OHADA accounting standards and company policies
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment by adhering to ENE Côte d’Ivoire HSE policies and procedures

Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus)
• Significant professional experience
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g. Excel)
• Strong knowledge of OHADA accounting standards
• Proficiency in SAP accounting systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
