POSITION SUMMARY -- Leads and manages all aspects of the organization's IT needs, including Operations, and Software development. Responsible for planning, organizing, and execution of IT systems. This includes strategic and tactical direction of Technology to meet management and customer requirements as well as the security, support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. WORK ENVIRONMENT— Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead the implementation of software projects, managing internal and subcontracted teams to meet timelines and ensure successful launches.
- Supervise, manage and mentor software developers to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Oversight and direction of the System Engineers and Helpdesk team in executing strategy and tasks relating to infrastructure and networks.
- Develop and enforce best practice coding standards, utilize lower environments for appropriate testing to catch errors before they are migrated to production
- Leadership in guiding development and integration that supports and follows best practice in Cyber-Security protocol
- Strategic oversight for Cyber-security initiatives and overall security of business systems and networks.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for integrating business systems, ensuring effective management of company information
- Provide recommendations to management for data security, backup, and network stability.
- Ability to implement networks and systems to meet management expectations (high availability, data preservation, security levels, etc.).
- Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
- Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing technology systems by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Make sound purchase and subcontracting recommendations within company budgetary boundaries.
- Project management oversight for technology teams.
- Directs, prioritizes and assists with the workload of staff.
- Reviews all designs, code, and unit test plans where applicable
- Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution. Participates on hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
- Directs education programs for IT staff
- Coordinate between users, operations, and programming teams for systems design, modifications, and troubleshooting.
- Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel
- Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; Master’s Degree in relevant field would be an advantage; or 10 years related work experience
Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience within Information Technology
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy
