The Senior Infrastructure Engineer within Enterprise System Services is responsible for managing the systems, platforms and related configurations that support the ISO New England workforce. This role requires deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ansible, Terraform, and related automation platforms to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable and secure hybrid infrastructure environments.

How you will make an impact:
- Automate provisioning and configuration of systems using Ansible and Terraform following IaC best practices.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability and performance through proactive monitoring, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Maintain and support RHEL-based systems, including OS patching, upgrades, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with development, security and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Define and document infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of automation, reliability and continuous improvement.
- Participate part-time within a cross-functional, matrixed Cloud Platform Engineering team within IT
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating system including proficiency in troubleshooting performance and operational issues.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and implementing pipelines.
- Proven success implementing automation frameworks (e.g. Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Demonstrate abilities with DevOps methodologies, including utilizing GitOps to manage infrastructure
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, as well as strong team orientation, written, and communication skills
- Forward-thinking, innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement.

The expected salary range for this position is $123,000 - $155,000 per year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental and vision), flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and a student debt benefit, life and AD&D insurance, disability insurance, critical illness and hospital indemnity benefits, paid time off, paid leave, a wellness program, an employee assistance program and other great company perks.
