Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying system anomalies and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaborating with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, thereby supporting business continuity and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve complex system issues.
- Document findings and solutions to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to prevent recurring problems.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing expertise.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and debug complex software issues.
- Experience in writing and optimizing database queries and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with database management and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and application support best practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
