Learning & Development Coordinator
The Learning and Development Coordinator is instrumental in advancing Devon Energy’s learning and talent development strategy by delivering comprehensive logistical, administrative, and operational support to the L&D function. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective planning, implementation, and execution of development programs and enterprise-wide learning initiatives that strengthen employee capability and organizational effectiveness.
This position is located on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas. Monday-Thursday with Flex Fridays.
Learning Management System (LMS) Support
Configures and maintains programs, campaigns, and courses in the Workday LMS
Provides timely and accurate reporting on training activities recorded in the LMS: attendance, completion rates, and other key metrics to support the organization's measurement and reporting strategies
Addresses user issues and provides timely system support
Monitors data accuracy
Program Support
Assists in coordinating end-to-end learning programs, from scheduling to evaluation, to ensure seamless execution
Provides logistical support for virtual and live training sessions, workshops, and events
Serves as the point of contact for L&D communications
Manages and maintains content libraries, master L&D calendar, and print and digital L&D materials
Manages vendor partnerships - coordinates and administers contracts, service agreements, and vendor relationships for external training and development services
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in L&D or LMS administration
Prior Workday Learning experience preferred
Ability to manage priorities and work independently or collaboratively
Strong problem solver with ability to manage multiple deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and documentation
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources, or a related field
Travel Requirements
Percent of Travel Required: 10%
