QA Automation & Manual Testing with Playwright,Selenim – Pune Location

Role Summary

The Engineer Lead, Quality is responsible for leading the Quality Engineering function to ensure delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant software solutions. This role defines enterprise-aligned testing strategies, enforces SDLC quality gates, and drives continuous improvement in test automation, defect prevention, and release readiness. The position plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to FIS SDLC standards, audit requirements, and resiliency objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Engineering Strategy & Governance

• Define and implement quality engineering strategy aligned with FIS SDLC governance standards
• Establish test coverage thresholds, quality gates, and release exit criteria
• Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
• Govern evidence collection for audits, releases, and control validations

2. Test Lifecycle Management

• Own end-to-end testing lifecycle including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and execution schedules
• Implement shift-left testing practices and integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure validation of non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, scalability)

3. Test Automation & Tooling

• Lead design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks
• Increase automation coverage across UI, API, and backend services
• Drive adoption of enterprise-approved tools and reusable QA components
• Optimize testing efficiency and reduce cycle time through automation

4. Defect, Risk & Release Quality Management

• Establish defect management process including triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive defect prevention initiatives
• Monitor defect trends, release quality metrics, and production incidents
• Ensure production readiness through defined quality gates and defect thresholds

5. Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering, Product Owners, and Architecture teams to embed quality in Agile delivery
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness reviews
• Ensure testability of requirements and completeness of acceptance criteria
• Provide regular reporting on quality metrics, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders

7. Resiliency, Stability & Continuous Improvement

• Drive improvements in application stability, availability, and resiliency
• Identify quality gaps and implement process/tooling enhancements
• Support post-release reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
• Align quality practices with enterprise resiliency and reliability objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / QA, with 3+ years in leadership role
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Test automation frameworks (UI, API, performance)
  • QA Automation & Manual Testing with Playwright,Selenim
  • Agile / DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • SDLC governance, release management, and audit controls
• Experience working in enterprise/regulatory environments (financial services preferred)
• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise compliance, audit readiness, and control evidence management
• Knowledge of security testing and non-functional testing practices
• Certifications: ISTQB, Agile (SAFe/Scrum), Six Sigma, or equivalent
