As the Manager, Individual Insurance Business Systems Support, you will build and lead a high‑performing team responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing critical business systems that support the Individual Insurance business unit. In this role, you will champion system configuration excellence in support of strategic initiatives, business issue support and enhancement requests, ensuring those solutions enable the desired client and advisor experience. You will act as the key liaison between business partners, IT, and vendors, ensuring all business configurable systems align with strategic goals and comply with SDLC governance. Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.


What you’ll do:

  • Act as the primary representative for solution delivery on strategic and key business initiatives, ensuring desired business outcomes are met though business managed configured systems against defined quality and timeline measures
  • Manage a team to ensure end-to-end delivery of business systems service support and updates resulting from project, enhancement and critical fix requests
  • Lead system configuration health monitoring and management through proactive opportunity assessment, issue identification and impact analysis, strategic planning in partnership the product owner, and benefits realization tracking against delivered outcomes.
  • Mentor and provide team leadership in delivering holistic business systems support services to the Individual Insurance business division, through ownership and execution of a knowledge development strategy on all assets under management, service delivery planning and reporting, and managing partnerships with business units and line of business partners
  • Manage and track performance of the team, identifying opportunities to increase value delivered to the business while fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.


What you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems support or configuration management, ideally within financial services or insurance.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing teams in a service support capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of configurable business systems tools used in insurance, including New Business and Underwriting workbench tools (UWPro), UW rules engines, CRM platforms (Zoho).
  • Experience working with integrated enterprise systems such as Ingenium, Equinet, OnBase, Datahub, Birst, or similar.
  • Expertise in system configuration, troubleshooting, automation tools, scripting, and applying SDLC standards to solution delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to mentor teams, drive change, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Superior analytical, problemsolving, decisionmaking, and impactassessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including experience engaging senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational, timemanagement, and multitasking abilities, with adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, facilitation, and stakeholder relationshipmanagement abilities.
