Job description

As a Senior UI/UX Engineer at Hitachi Digital Services LLC, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing intuitive and engaging user experiences for our cutting-edge digital products and services. You will lead the UI/UX design process from concept to execution, ensuring a seamless and impactful user journey.

Responsibilities:**

* Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and visual design.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into user-centered design solutions.
* Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
* Conduct user research activities, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions.
* Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications for development teams.
* Champion best practices in UI/UX design, accessibility, and usability throughout the development lifecycle.
* Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools.
* Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:**
• 7–10+ years of hands-on, real-world UX/UI experience in the domains listed above (academic years or junior-level experience are not counted).
• Serve as the senior UX representative for complex domains including IoT, Railway, Automotive, SCADA, Supply Chain, Smart City, MES, Asset Management, Predictive Maintenance, Financial Services, and other enterprise environments.
• Analyze domain flows, system flows, technical data, and user behavior to craft accurate and feasible UX solutions.
• Produce wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and multi-level prototypes that clearly communicate design intent for BA/Dev implementation.
• Define UI/UX standards, interaction logic, component taxonomy, and system-wide consistency.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to read industrial dashboards, system metrics, and technical charts and convert them into UX insights
• Demonstrated experience in AI-integrated product design, prompt engineering
• Mastery of Figma at an expert level, including component architecture, variant systems, auto layout 5.0, container-based design, and responsive multi breakpoint UI.
• Advanced capability with Figma Make to build dynamic prototypes and complex logic-driven automation flows. A working demo is required for evaluation.
• Design UX for AI copilots, intelligent search engines, recommendation systems, generative workflows, and autonomous task agents.
