YOUR ROLE

As Project Launch Manager, you are responsible for leading Project Management on the IAS Site in Saltillo, ensuring smooth new product and process launches until hand over to series production. You develop and follow up the master timing- and action plan for new launch activities, coordinate with global and local functions, and ensure key milestones are achieved. You work in line with company objectives and have an understanding of automotive new launches, including Quality, Production, and Supply Chain deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow the master timing and action plan for new launches assigned to Saltillo
• Lead on-site New Launch project teams with cross-functional representatives (MS, Quality, Supply Chain, Production)
• Act as the interface between the local Saltillo team and Engineering and Industrialization teams in Warren (US) and Brunico (Italy)
• Interface with Aptiv (Centec) functions and local suppliers when required
• Work with customer interfaces, including Supplier Development Engineers
• Prepare and lead customer visits and audits during new launches (e.g., Customer Potential Analysis, Run Rate exercises)
• Follow the Project Management Manual (Projekt Struktur Plan - PSP) and manage project reviews, progress tracking, and escalations
• Monitor and own key KPIs for new launches (milestones, Run Rate, PPAP)
• Ensure completeness of documentation and deliverables for Project Gate Reviews and escalate as needed
• Collaborate across functions (Project Management, Manufacturing Systems, Quality, Engineering, HR, Supply Chain) to drive operational performance and innovation
• Safeguard sensitive data and ensure proper handling of company assets while maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Must Haves

• Several years of experience in automotive new launch management
• Strong knowledge of new launch standard ways of working
• Understanding of quality requirements in new launches (advantageous)
• Engineering degree (advantageous)
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
• High sense of responsibility, flexibility, and problem-solving mindset
• Team-oriented, structured, and goal-driven approach
• Sense for key performance and financial KPIs
• Analytical thinking, empathy, and reliability
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Professional level of English (interaction with international customers and US / Italy teams)
