Responsibilities

As a Data Center Project Manager with Hines, you will be responsible for working in conjuction with Corporate Services as they plan and execute power downs of major People Space Buildings across Metro New York and Westchester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Corporate Services to gather data, plan meetings and ensure the creation of a thorough and complete runbook.
• Weekend event management throughout the year.
• Involvement in the communication for all Corporate Services-managed events (emails, website, conference calls pre, during and post event).
• Close and professional collaboration with technology and business teams in order to schedule, plan and manage events.
• Interface with other teams for ongoing review and sign-off of proposed changes to the Data Center.
• Deployment of standards (change management, incident management, inventory management, etc.).
• Ongoing management of timely and accurate inventory tracking & maintenance.
• Administration of operations procedures and standards compliance.
• Ongoing liaison/interaction with infrastructure teams.
• Weekend event management throughout the year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Information Technology, or related from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years in Data Center Facilities, White Space Project Management, Financial Services sector (multiple regions advantageous).
• The ability to communicate confidently and clearly on conference calls, in meetings, via email, etc. at all levels of the organization is essential.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines.
• Technical aptitude: Strong understanding of technology used in Investment Banking is required (i.e. one or more of: Unix / Linux, Windows, storage, networking, databases, IT security, market data, web / intranet infrastructure, messaging, mainframe or sales and trading application support).
• Ability to work additional time or non-standard hours and available 24/7 for emergency response
• Data Center Operations experience in 24x7 critical facility.
• Travel required as needed or requested in the NY Metro area.
