MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Network Engineer designs, implements, manages, and troubleshoots routine and modestly difficult problems. They proficiently participate in projects by proficiently performing assigned tasks, meeting target dates, and producing high quality work. They receive as well as give instruction to grow skills and become increasingly more capable. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite in Bridgeton, Mullica Hill, or Vineland, and occasional onsite presence across Inspira Health sites as business needs dictate. The position includes an on-call rotation every 5 weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred
- Associate degree and/or experience in related fields will be considered in lieu of education and certification.
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, subnetting, and VLANs.
- Possesses a mix of practical and academic knowledge of network protocols, services, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, VLAN, BGP, and OSPF.
- Solid understanding and proficiency with network diagnostic tools and monitoring systems.
- Exhibits proficiency with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as familiarity with vendors like Aruba, Cisco and Juniper.
- Capable of troubleshooting all routine, common and repetitive network issues with no assistance, as well as moderately complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Intermediate knowledge about some topics relating to cloud networking, SD-WAN, and other modern networking technologies.
- Shows excellent self-organization and time management skills.
Certification/ Licensure:
- CompTIA Network+ preferred.
