Description
We're on the lookout for passionate game developers — the ones who were never given a proper chance, the ones stuck in a rut making match-3 games for the wrong reasons, or working on “creative” projects that execs threw at them. Do you still dream of making beautiful games?
BIT ODD is a collaborative startup where the best idea wins, and everyone is encouraged to contribute. Things move fast, priorities can shift quickly, and not everything is perfectly structured — but that's part of the craft. We care about doing things the right way and don’t limit people to narrow roles. If you see something that can be improved, you're expected to jump in and make it happen.
As a QA Lead at BIT ODD, you’ll ensure a high-quality player experience for Field Day - our debut game on mobile. You will work in a small team and take ownership of the QA function end-to-end, from hands-on testing to coordinating external QA partners. You will collaborate closely with the team to identify issues, test new features, and keep the game stable and performant across a wide range of devices. Your expertise in structured testing, sharp eye for detail, and ability to prioritize what matters most will help deliver a smooth, polished, and reliable experience for players.
• Own the QA function, including any outsourced QA teams
• Ensure full test coverage across the game
• Validate new builds through smoke and regression testing
• Own backlog prioritization based on impact and severity
• Manage test devices and ensure performance across a wide range of hardware
• Ensure App Store and Google Play compliance
• Monitor and respond to live issues post-launch
• Work closely with the team to support live operations
• Strong understanding of QA processes, including test planning, regression testing, and managing a backlog of bugs
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools and managing test cases
• Ability to prioritize issues effectively based on player impact and production needs
• Experience working with external QA vendors and scaling QA efforts through outsourcing
• Understanding of mobile platforms (iOS/Android), including performance considerations
• Familiarity with App Store and Google Play submission requirements and compliance standards
About BIT ODD:
BIT ODD is a group of passionate game artisans hand-crafting mobile games. Our wild idea is this: games should be focused around gameplay and attract players through emotion and innovation rather than just conforming to traditional metrics. They should be made from the ground up with an emphasis on the player experience. They shouldn't be about how many adverts we can show in the first minute, or about how to get players to miss-click on “buy”.
Our debut game Field Day is a fast-paced mobile PvPvE experience built on this philosophy.
We still have spots left in our early access!
