Our Team, Your Impact

The Data Steward is a key guardian of master data quality and governance within the Global Supply Chain (SC) Data Management framework. This role ensures that data standards are upheld, anomalies are addressed, and business processes are supported through accurate and reliable data. Acting as a bridge between operational teams and data governance, the Data Steward collaborates with Data Authors and stakeholders to maintain data integrity, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in data handling practices.

 

How You’ll Spend Your Day

 

  • Definition of data standards & data health checks for the respective Supply Chain Data domain (e.g. Inventory, Supply Planning)
  • Maintain and regularly update the subdomain-level data catalogue
  • Organize, prepare and host regular data forum meetings
  • Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify inconsistencies, gaps, or errors.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of master data records in alignment with governance policies and business rules.
  • Lead data cleansing initiatives and coordinate corrective actions with Data Authors and business teams.
  • Serve as the escalation point for data-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Driving data innovation and optimization projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data supports operational, reporting, and analytical needs.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

  • University degree or equivalent education, preferably in a scientific, technical, or business discipline.
  • Strong understanding of master data standards, governance principles, and business rules.
  • Experience with enterprise data systems (e.g., ERP, MDM platforms).
  • Excellent analytical skills for data validation, reporting, and mass data changes.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and change management capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor and guide stakeholders in best practices and standards.

 

Also Good to Have

 

  • Experience with planning systems (e.g. SAP IBP, APO) and understanding of end-to-end planning processes
  • Exposure to data quality tools, monitoring frameworks, or automation solutions
  • Basic understanding of data analytics, reporting tools, or visualization (e.g. Power BI)
  • Knowledge of supply chain KPIs and their linkage to master data quality
