Description
- Answers telephone, screens calls, refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Opens, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence.
- Maintains files and equipment. Orders office supplies.
- Works with Office of Faculty Advancement by maintaining multiple databases including faculty appointments, annual evaluations, faculty mentoring, and exit interviews.
- Provides administrative support to the Marshall Journal of Medicine's (MJM) Editorial Board by maintaining authors and reviewers database, collecting payment for MJM, and assisting with monthly meetings.
- Provides administrative support to Faculty Council, WIMS Council PAC Committee
- Assists with community outreach, creating newsletters, updating websites, diversity training, and coordinating meetings.
- Assists with training and programming for students, faculty, and staff while creating a structure that supports a culture of inclusiveness throughout the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or health care administration strongly preferred.
Experience: Three years' experience in a health care setting. Must be proficient in database and spreadsheet management (i.e. Microsoft Office). Familiarity with digital publishing preferred. Must possess strong organizational, time-management, communication, and problem solving skills.
