Description


Position Purpose

The Service Supervisor is responsible for supporting front-end operations to ensure a fast, friendly, and efficient customer experience. This role assists in overseeing cashiers, courtesy clerks, and service desk functions while maintaining compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Excellence
    • Deliver and model outstanding customer service at all times
    • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
    • Promote a welcoming and positive store environment
  • Front-End Operations
    • Support daily front-end functions including registers, self-checkout, and service desk
    • Ensure proper cash handling, till accountability, and accurate transactions
    • Assist with opening, closing, and shift transitions
  • Team Leadership
    • Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
    • Reinforce productivity, service expectations, and company standards
    • Assist in training new employees on front-end processes and procedures
  • Compliance & Accuracy
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and labor procedures
    • Monitor ID checks and compliance for restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
    • Maintain clean, organized, and operational front-end areas
  • Operational Support
    • Assist with breaks, lunches, and shift coverage
    • Support store initiatives, promotions, and seasonal programs
    • Communicate effectively with store leadership regarding front-end performance and issues
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and cash handling experience
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 25 lbs as needed
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the front-end area
