This role will be responsible for building wired and wireless networks, improving network performance, creating automations for repetitive tasks, and monitoring systems to optimize and secure the network.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the existing network infrastructure, with the ability to analyze the environment to provide optimizations, greater security, and needed automation.
- Building, testing and troubleshooting network environments, both physical and virtual.
- Monitoring the network to mitigate bandwidth and security concerns.
- Researching the latest technologies and threats to stay current with best practices.
- Deploying security patching and upgrades.
- Regularly reporting on networking access and security.
- Configuring network access and services (VLAN, NAT, NTP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent certifications and experience.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching.
- Experienced with network security and automation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
