The Role: Financial Controller

This is a hands-on financial role offering wide exposure across the business. From managing supplier invoices and payroll to producing management accounts and assisting with audits, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of core financial operations. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a remote, independent work setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar financial or accounting role
  • Manage and process purchase ledger: invoice approvals, postings, and supplier payments
  • Support and help run payroll across all staff
  • Assist with preparation of management accounts and year-end audits
  • Use Excel to produce reports and complete key financial tasks
  • Monitor and improve finance processes, offering creative, practical suggestions
  • Handle ad hoc financial duties as required

About You

  • 3+ years' relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong Excel skills and solid numeracy
  • Self-starter who manages time and workload independently
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Can-do attitude and decision-focused mindset
  • Able to work effectively and communicate clearly in a remote setting
  • Accountancy qualifications are desirable but not essential if you bring the right skills and experience
  • Team player who collaborates well across departments and contributes to overall business improvement
