Greenfield is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our growing team a 6 Month Contract.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include the following. Other duties may be requested from time to time depending on the needs of the business or the Department Manager (or designee).
Financial Reporting & Month‑End
- Prepare and own monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and clear, insightful commentary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes in line with agreed timelines
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and support external audit requirements
Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to department heads, providing financial insight to support decision‑making and cost control
- Analyse margins, pricing, and profitability by product or service line
- Support capital investment appraisals and business case development
Financial Analysis
- Deliver KPI reporting and performance dashboards for management review
- Monitor and report on working capital performance, including cash flow, inventory, and debtors
- Provide ad hoc financial modelling and analysis to support business initiatives
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and systems
- Assist with internal and external audits, including the implementation of corrective actions where required
- Maintain strong governance, documentation, and financial integrity at all times
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercial awareness and sound business acumen
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling)
- Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics an advantage)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
Qualifications (Education, Certification, Experience)
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar finance role
- Previous experience in an industry (non‑practice) environment preferred
