Description

The Accounting Manager at our company will be the lead person in our finance department, taking the helm of ensuring that our financial information is accurately processed and presented. This role is not just about crunching numbers - it involves making data-driven decisions that will significantly contribute to the overall strategy of our business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial principles, a sharp analytical mind, and a passion for achieving financial clarity in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including monthly and end-year processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, treasury, budgeting, and revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate and timely financial reports or statements.
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
    • Coordinate with the financial team to complete the annual audit.
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor.
    • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
    • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
    • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
    • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Experience with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
    • Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, preferred.
