Senior Human Resources Manager
Hybrid | New York, NY
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000
The New Jewish Home is seeking a strategic, experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to play a key leadership role within a complex, mission‑driven healthcare environment. This is an opportunity for an HR leader who thrives at the intersection of people strategy, labor relations, compliance, and operational excellence, and who is passionate about supporting high‑quality patient care through a strong and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and quality‑of‑care outcomes
- Lead talent acquisition efforts for clinical and non‑clinical roles, including workforce planning and targeted sourcing strategies
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives that promote compliance, competency, and engagement
- Manage employee and labor relations in a unionized environment, including investigations, discipline, grievance support, and collaboration with labor partners
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, and healthcare‑specific requirements
- Support performance management, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives
- Leverage HRIS systems, reporting, and workforce analytics to inform operational and strategic decisions
- Partner with senior leadership on change management, culture‑building, and HR program development across care settings
Qualifications
- Significant HR leadership experience within a healthcare environment
- Proven experience working with unionized workforces and collective bargaining agreements
- Strong working knowledge of employment and labor law, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with clinical and operational leaders in a fast‑paced setting
- Experience using HRIS systems and workforce data to drive decision‑making
