The position is based in Port Elizabeth.
The purpose of the sales consultant (internally known as a Homeloan Consultant) is to acquire home loan leads for real estate and other lead sources and to convert the leads into approved home loans to achieve required sales targets. Further the Homeloan Consultant will be required to cross sell other internal ooba group products and services. The consultant is tasked to constantly increase opportunity for business by adding value to new and existing partners as well as prospect new lead source potential. The consultant will be expected to improve and grow the ooba homeloan production results

- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets by driving lead growth in existing agency partner channels and sourcing new agency partnerships to build and maintain a lead provider base.
- Represent ooba Homeloans at regional customer conferences, regional meetings and industry networking events.
- Be visible and active in the market place, involved in the local community activities and represent the ooba homeloans brand effectively.
- Deliver product and service presentations across all potential avenues with the aim to grow their lead base.
- Attend agency meetings to inform and up skill agents on new products and other value adding services as well as carry out agent appreciation events.
- Drive new product sales initiatives as and when those are launched by the ooba group.
- Grade 12
- Previous banking (home loans) and/or real estate experience
- Proven track record of outstanding sales performance
- Passionate about sales and sales processes
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong networking skills
- A solid computer literacy level with experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as tech savvy with a focus on maximizing exposure on social media platforms
- Own transport and cell phone
- able to work in line with a hybrid model
