Job Purpose

Working in IT Services in the Planning and Finance team to lead and work in the Project team to work with customers to provide programme management office support, develop business requirements, analyse business problems, develop collaborative solutions and manage the full project delivery lifecycle.

Ensuring successful project implementation that enables the department to meet and exceed agreed service levels to its customers. .

Develop innovative solutions to solve business problems and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies across the Council.

Deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead the Project Team and be part of the IT Services management team.

Work with customers and other IT teams to analyse business problems and identify appropriate solutions.

Develop comprehensive and effective business requirement documentation and manage the full project lifecycle to ensure successful project implementation.

Provide PMO services to IT Services, including programme resource planning, programme budget management, programme reporting activities; preparation and production of weekly programme status report for both ICT Management and client representatives.

Provide PMO support and direction to the project analyst team

Assist in the development, maintenance and communication of the IT Services programme and project management methodology and standards.

Follow IT Services programme and project management methodology and standards.

Support the continuous development and enhancement of the service, and ensure that customer care and service excellence are established as core values.

Follow service management processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the service and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Use agreed IT service management tools to accurately capture data relating to ITIL processes.

Ensure service related documentation is accurate and relevant.

Collaborate with colleagues to identify and investigate problems in systems and services throughout the organisation.

Assist with the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
