Description
Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Toronto (Hybrid)
About us
Our partner is a modern creator-commerce platform. The product is scaling fast and we’re hiring multiple senior full-stack engineers who like owning problems end-to-end.
The role
Build user-facing features across a React/TypeScript front end and Go services. Design clean APIs, real-time interactions, and caching that make the app feel instant. Ship with CI/CD, observability, and a bias for measurable impact.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and operate Go services with REST/WebSockets or SSE, and a React/TypeScript web app
- Own APIs, data models, and performance budgets; use Redis/Valkey, Postgres, and thoughtful caching
- Ship via Docker and GitHub Actions; leverage Cloudflare for edge delivery, routing, and caching
- Partner with design and product to turn ideas into shipped features and clear KPI lifts
You might be a fit if you have
- 4–10+ years shipping production software on small, fast teams
- Depth in Go and React/TypeScript (or equivalent strengths you can map quickly)
- Experience with Redis/Valkey, Postgres, queues, rate limiting, and auth
- CI/CD and ops hygiene (GitHub Actions or similar, metrics/logs/traces, on-call)
- Proven performance stories: reduced P90/P95, improved uptime, or real-time feature wins
Nice to have
- Next.js, Node.js, or Python/Django alongside Go
- Cloudflare Workers/Pages, Vercel, or edge-cache tuning
- Payments, storefront, or creator-tools experience
Location and setup
- Hybrid in Toronto. Competitive comp with meaningful equity. We move quickly and value builders who own outcomes.
How to apply
Send a short note and links to GitHub or shipped work to jobs@vamotalent.com.
- Bonus: include one example of a latency or reliability win you’re proud of.
