CommSec is Australia’s leading online retail stockbroker, providing customers with innovative online and mobile trading solutions. The CommSec Line 1 Risk Chapter Area is responsible for driving simple and proactive risk management practices to support a best in class customer experience. This includes supporting the Distribution, Digital and Product & Investing Solutions Crews, management of key governance committees, maintaining compliance with our Australian Financial Services License requirements, coordinating Group Policy Regulatory and Framework changes, applying the Supplier Governance Framework, and maintaining the CommSec risk profile.
About the business & your team:
The Manager role reports directly to the Chapter Lead - Product Line 1 Risk, The Product Line 1 Risk Chapter is accountable for providing end to end risk support for the Product Domain.
Your role will be focused on effective management of risks within CommSec’s product Domain, including incident and issue management and root cause analysis, leading change management risk assessments, including technology and AI deployment, and controls testing/development including control automation.
You will also support key projects and other day to day tasks as part of the Chapter or a particular aligned Pace squad to deliver the overall business objectives.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Pro-active self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail and developing communication and influencing skills;
Experience in risk advisory and supporting the business in implementation of change initiatives.
Critical and analytical thinking, leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making and outcomes
Experience in financial services industry with understanding of regulatory landscape and awareness of operational risk management framework and principles;
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives at once;
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to engage across Line 1 and Line 2
Effective facilitation and presentation skills, including leading workshops and risk discussions
Experience in process improvement, optimisation, or targeted/deep-dive reviews
