Description

Responsibilities:

  • The role of the Application Developer is to ensure the stability, security, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.
  • This is achieved by writing clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages and MS SQL Server database programming skills.
  • The developer will participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to produce new code as well as revise, update, and debug existing code.
  • Create and maintain documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Test and deploy applications in accordance with company change management policy.
  • Provide training to co-workers for all modified and new applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science\Software Engineering or 5+ years of development experience
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic .Net and C#
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, MS SQL Server design/architectural patterns
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Standard Change Management practices
  • The position requires the ability to sit and type for extended periods of time. Standing, walking, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, and reaching will occur occasionally. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidate must be People Focused, Results Driven, and Innovative
  • Familiarity with Appeon Power Builder a plus.
