JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Design Development:

• Assist in the creation of new designs and collections for modern women's apparel, focusing on the latest trends and customer preferences.
• Prepare sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards to present design ideas.
• Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and materials for each collection.

Team Collaboration:

• Work under the guidance of senior designers to translate creative ideas into ready-to-wear collections.
• Collaborate with the production and merchandising teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and meet production requirements.
• Participate in design meetings, brainstorming sessions, and fittings.

Production Assistant:

• Assist with quality control and review samples to ensure designs meet brand standards.
• Provide input during production to ensure garments are manufactured accurately.
• Help manage timelines for design, sampling, and production phases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Has experience in fashion design, with hands-on experience in;
• Prior experience working in an SME environment is an added advantage;
• Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field;
• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a similar industry such as fashion retail or apparel sales;
• Basic knowledge of sewing and garment construction;
• Passion for fashion and a keen interest in staying updated on industry trends and developments.
