Your Job

  • Lead the development and qualification of OPC, SRAF, and RET recipes for critical layers across FDX and FFX technology platforms.

  • Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade OPC flows in Siemens EDA Calibre (nmOPC, OPCverify, nmSRAF, Calibre WORKbench, ) and ASML/Brion Tachyon (MB-OPC/MB-SRAF, LMC).

  • Develop and maintain automation, recipe infrastructure, and analysis frameworks using Python and TCL; drive coding standards and code reuse across the team.

  • Execute lithography hotspot detection, LMC verification, and process window analysis; resolve hotspots through OPC, SRAF placement, and source/mask co-optimization.

  • Drive runtime, turnaround time, and compute-resource optimization for production OPC jobs running on large compute clusters.

  • Act as technical lead for cross-functional patterning issues; partner with integration, etch, metrology, mask shop, and design teams on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; review recipes, code, and methodologies as a senior technical reference.

  • Represent the OPC team in technical reviews with EDA vendors, scanner suppliers, and internal stakeholders; influence tool roadmaps based on production needs.

  • Document recipes, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Materials Science, or a related discipline. PhD will be beneficial.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in OPC, RET, or computational lithography in a semiconductor manufacturing or advanced R&D environment.

  • Production-level expertise with Siemens EDA Calibre OPC tool suite (nmOPC, OPCverify, nmSRAF, WORKbench).

  • Production-level expertise with ASML/Brion Tachyon OPC platform (MB-OPC/MB-SRAF, LMC).

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with FDX (FD-SOI) and FFX (FinFET) technology platforms, including familiarity with their distinct patterning challenges (e.g., back-gate alignment and analog/RF requirements for FDX; fin pitch, cut, and multi-patterning integration for FFX).

  • Strong proficiency in Python and TCL for recipe development, automation, and large-scale data analysis.

  • Solid understanding of optical lithography fundamentals, resist modeling, mask manufacturing constraints (MRC), and process window concepts.

  • Experience working with large compute clusters and managing long-running, resource-intensive computational jobs.

  • Excellent English skills are required (C1); proficiency in the German language is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with source-mask co-optimization (SMO), inverse lithography (ILT), and machine-learning-assisted OPC approaches.

  • Knowledge of mask data preparation (MDP), fracturing, and mask process correction (MPC).

  • Experience with additional scripting/programming languages (Perl, C++, shell) and modern software engineering practices (Git, code review, CI).

  • Prior experience interfacing with design teams on DFM, DRC, and litho-aware design rules.

  • Experience with immersion ArF lithography.
