Tax Transformation (Direct Tax and Technology) – Associate Director
We are looking for high-performing Associate Director to join our Tax Transformation practice (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:
Deep tax compliance, reporting and/or automation expertise
Direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax provisioning
Hands-on experience implementing either of TRCS, ONESOURCE Tax Provision, OneStream, and/or Longview
Hands-on experience implementing CbCR and Pillar 2 across tax tools.
Understanding of end-to-end tax operating models and interaction with Record-to-Report processes
IFRS and/or US GAAP tax accounting knowledge, including tax consolidation
Advising on appropriate tax technology to support compliance and reporting processes
Tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax and IT perspective, and creating and reviewing design documentation
Tax transformation experience, including tax governance, process design and improvement
Strong project management skills
Client and engagement management
Roles & Responsibilities:
Deliver direct tax and tax technology transformation projects, often as part of broader finance transformation programs
Design, build, and deploy tax technology solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control
Design future-state tax processes aligned with global and local tax requirements
Work closely with Tax, Finance Transformation, IT, and Global Delivery teams
Develop and support robust tax governance and control frameworks
Act as functional tax SME for tax technology implementations
Translate complex tax and accounting requirements into system-ready specifications
Review and validate tax calculations and system outputs
Manage client relationships, engagement delivery, and team performance
Coach junior team members and support development of service offerings
Delivering tax transformation and technology projects, often as part of a wider finance transformation program
Helping clients to design, build and deploy automation solutions which are designed for Tax
Supporting our clients in designing systems which address tax requirements in different countries in the optimal way
Knowledge and Experience:
Awareness of tax provisions and accounting, tax technology tools and automation to drive efficiency, risk management and value
Experience in process, risk and implementations
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear;
Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information;

Awareness or experience of tax and accounting compliance processes (e.g. Direct/Indirect tax returns, statutory accounting).
Accuracy and consistency of tax provision outputs and system configurations
Adoption and stabilization of implemented tax technology tools
Team development, retention, and technical capability building
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
At Associate Director level you will have strong communication skills both internally and externally, drive forward propositions and key initiatives, effectively prioritise and have strong financial management. You will demonstrate resilience, flexibility, be experienced in developing others and managing engagements, be able to confidently engage with clients and drive results.
- CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong understanding of direct tax and tax accounting (ASC 740 / IAS 12)
- Proven experience with TRCS, ONESOURCE Tax Provision, or Longview
- Experience in Big 4, consulting, or complex corporate tax environments
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
