Description
This purpose of the Product Manager role is to manage strategic supplier relationships at the corporate level and the product segments associated with those key supplier partners. This is the leader of the commercial strategy and serves as the liaison between the supplier and the sales organization.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
- Essential Functions
- Maximize overall growth and profitability of the product line
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans
- Understanding impact of global markets, building an in-depth knowledge of product lines and the factors driving supply and demand
- Strategically collaborate with Leadership, Sales, Purchasing, and Planning to formulate a product offering and inventory strategy to support profitable growth
- Effectively managing cost negotiations, growth initiatives, supply forecasting, and price management

- Proven communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and ability to establish relationships and collaborate among other teams
- Ability to quickly learn, detailed oriented with an ability to prioritize
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn basic systems such as Microsoft CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Supplier negotiation experience as demonstrated by previous work experience
- Leadership skills that can be displayed in a complex environment
- Experience with contract and cost negotiation
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or related training equivalent required
- Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred
- Financial business acumen as demonstrated by previous work experience
- Sales or sales management experience preferred
- Commodity and/or Engineering plastics market experience
- Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license – required
- Language:
- Proficiency in English required
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
Work Environment / Conditions
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore
- Must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- This position is a hybrid in-office and work-from-home role
- May be required to travel to office locations in the USA as well as other countries based on the businesses involved in e-commerce sales

- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
- Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).

Annual Base Salary:
- $125,000 - $175,000 per year (DOE) + Bonus
