Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite – 5 days a week)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support business and technology teams by gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for operational and system-related initiatives. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that support successful product delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, supporting backlog management, UAT, rollout activities, and process improvement initiatives, preferably within operations-driven environments such as logistics, supply chain, or transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand current processes, identify gaps, and define business needs.
  • Convert requirements into clear documentation, including business requirements, functional requirements, and process flows.
  • Write user stories with detailed acceptance criteria to support development and testing teams.
  • Ensure requirements are well-structured, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to support sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, and requirement clarification.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and technical teams to ensure work items are ready for delivery.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating requirements, supporting test scenarios, and tracking issue resolution.
  • Support product delivery, implementation, and rollout activities to ensure smooth adoption of business solutions.
  • Develop business-facing documentation, executive updates, and process diagrams as needed.
  • Interpret system flows, operational workflows, and basic technical architecture to support analysis and solution planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for business or technology initiatives.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in support of Agile delivery teams.
  • Experience translating business needs into structured requirements and process documentation.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog refinement and sprint support.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and Visio or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to interpret system diagrams, process flows, and basic technical architecture.
  • Experience working in operations-heavy environments such as logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
  • Experience with backlog management and prioritization.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollout activities.
  • Experience preparing executive updates and business-facing documentation.

The base salary for this position is $ 67,000  to $75,500 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
