Summary:
SAILS Washington supports people with disabilities to have the highest level of care and support. The Weekend Program Manager is responsible for developing and facilitating recreational groups and programs which meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of the participants in our residential programs. Also responsible for covering shifts or finding coverage for callouts Friday to Monday and being available for on-call during that time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure overall quality of care, supervision, and safety of SAILS' clients.
• Provide oversight, training, analysis, and leadership to Residential House Managers.
• Ensure each weekend has activities scheduled for the clients.
• Manage the activities calendar and communication to the houses for weekend activities.
• Work closely with the Program Management team.
• Manage the on-call phone during the weekend.
• Oversee the on-call House Manager.
• Join huddle Fridays and Mondays.
• Be comfortable with a flexible schedule as on-call needs arise, and activities may change.
• Find coverage for call outs during on-call or covering shifts as needed.
• Provide guidance and directions to House Managers on the management of challenging issues.
• Provide on-site training as needed and supervise effectiveness.
• Monitor and train Direct Support Staff to ensure that clients’ rights are honored, and that opportunities for choices are being provided and encouraged if the opportunity arises on shift.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure that the facilities meet all the areas of compliance.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain Quality and Safety of each of the homes.
• Will support with training programs and teams to follow Quality Assurance guidelines and DDA guidelines.
• Will support with documentation and binders in programs.
• Will ensure that medication management is properly documented for each program and will train supervisors when med issues happen.
• Will ensure that documentation happens for any onsite training.
• Other Duties as assigned.
Travel:
Travel between offices, programs, and meetings averages 80%. Personal vehicle use is required; mileage is reimbursed. Out-of-state travel is typically not necessary.
Required education and experience:
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 2 years’ experience working with Clients with Disabilities
• 3 years Supervisory experience
• CNA or NAR certification preferred
Licensing Requirements:
• Must pass a Washington State background check
• First Aid/CPR Certified (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided)
• Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided)
• Need to obtain CPI Blue Card
• Training from DDA regarding writing IISPs and PBSPs Nurse’s Aide Registered (NAR) and able to be Nurse Delegated
Ongoing eligibility qualifications:
• Complete and pass the background check screening upon hire and every two years thereafter, or as requested.
• Maintain active NAR, CPR/First Aid, Nurse Delegation and other required certifications.
• Complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
