Description
As the entry level position in the project manager job family, Project Coordinators work with Project Managers to execute specific deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. Project Coordinators work with defined project teams to produce simple or templated deliverables.
- Oversee the planning and execution of defined deliverables that are part of larger projects or initiatives. Including
- Gather requirements from stakeholders
- Working with project team members to develop project schedule and cost estimates
- Completing required documentation
- Using project management software to monitor and control the execution of projects.
- Addressing any issues that arise during execution
- Communicating status to project sponsors throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring that project commitments are met (on-time and on-budget delivery)
- Support administrative needs of management, including financial queries, project performance reports, documentation maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Non-Responsibilities
- Acting as primary contact for customer relationships
- Managing large/complex projects
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business Administration, Digital Media, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Consideration will be given to candidates who are within a year of graduation.
- 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in project-based environments.
- Customer service & results oriented
- Ability to solve problems with limited oversight
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to work well with, communicate to, and motivate others.
- Proficient in business tools like Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Tableau, Workfront, etc.
- Excellent Organizational skills & attention to detail
- Effective at prioritizing and simultaneously managing dozens of active assignments
