GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing St. Vincent de Paul’s (“SVDP”) mission by ensuring excellence in donor data management, communications, and outreach. This position combines technical database management with creative marketing, including social media and print and email assets creation responsibilities. The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of donor records, supporting fundraising initiatives, and ensuring a cohesive organization voice across all platforms and communications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education, Experience & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, or nonprofit development

2. Other Qualifications:

• Proficiency with donor database systems (DonorPerfect preferred) and mass email platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write persuasively in multiple voices
• Experience with media relations, press release writing and social media strategy
• Intermediate or greater graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively

• Commitment to the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul, respect and support of the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church

3. Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift fifteen (15) pounds
• Ability to sit for long periods while working, stoop, and bend infrequently
• Ability to navigate and move around buildings on campus and community

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

1. 1. Donor Database & Development Support
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in DonorPerfect
      • Serve as the internal expert and lead administrator for DonorPerfect
      • Process all gift entries and produce timely, personalized acknowledgements
      • Pull and prepare regular giving reports for the administrative and Development staff
      • Support donor moves management tracking and maintain related data
      • Assist with donor research and wealth screening
      • Contribute to donor stewardship efforts, including thank-you communications and impact updates
      • Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising campaigns, special projects, and donor-focused events
   2. Marketing and Communication
      • Support the implementation of a organization-wide communications calendar
      • Develop and execute a year-round marketing calendar aligned with SVDP’s programs and events
      • Oversee and manage the organization’s mass email platform
      • Contribute to design and layout for newsletters, donor communications, and related materials
      • In collaboration with the Director of Development, ensure that all communications reflect a unified and approved organizational voice
      • Oversee all paid advertising campaigns
      • Create, write, and distribute approved press releases
   3. Creative & Social Media
      • Develop and implement social media strategy and executions across platforms
      • Create engaging graphics, templates, and materials for use by SVDP departments, leadership, and volunteers
      • Produce visual and written content that advances donor engagement, event promotion, and mission-based storytelling
