Description
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE BIL is looking for an experienced and forward thinking Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager to lead the transformation of financial reporting, analytics, and data architecture across the Finance function. This senior role is key to strengthening BIL’s performance steering through modern tools, advanced analytics, and strong alignment with Finance Business Partner teams. The MIS Manager will liaise with IT and Financial Planning Analysis teams to design and deliver the bank’s strategic roadmap for financial data, profitability measurement, cost allocation, and automated reporting. You will modernize the MIS landscape using Power BI, improved data architecture, and emerging AI driven capabilities, ensuring that insights are accurate and consistent to be used by Finance and Commercial teams. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Data Architecture Tool Driven Reporting • Lead the evolution of Finance’s data architecture and reporting layers from a Finance perspective, ensuring strong governance, scalability, and alignment with Business Partner teams. • Drive the transition toward a Power BI based reporting ecosystem and greater automation of data flows. • Ensure consistency of definitions, data models, and KPIs across all Finance tools and dashboards. Cost Allocation, Profitability Performance Analytics • Manage cost allocation tools to ensure transparency and accuracy of information and reporting. • Develop Cost to Serve, client profitability, product profitability, and business line profitability tools to support revenue analysts and commercial teams. • Strengthen performance measurement through high quality analytics and robust toolsets. Commercial Reporting for the Front Office • Build and maintain reporting solutions that are fit for purpose for front office usage and commercial steering. • Work closely with Business Partner teams to refine KPIs and ensure reporting supports daily business management. • Promote consistent, intuitive dashboards that empower business lines through self service analytics. Forecasting, Budgeting Financial Trajectory • Lead the development of advanced forecasting and budgeting tools that support strategic planning and scenario analysis. • Ensure tools and models reflect business realities and align with Business Partner insights. Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), LTP RTP • Ensure support for the LTP/RTP tooling, ensuring methodologies are accurately translated into automated, scalable systems. • Drive continuous improvement of FTP platforms, enhancing data quality, calculation engines, scenario capabilities, and integration within the broader Finance data architecture. AI, Automation Modern Finance Capabilities • Drive the early adoption of AI based analytics within Finance to enhance forecasting, anomaly detection, and reporting efficiency. • Champion automation and continuous improvement, reducing manual workflows and increasing analytical value. • Drive the transition toward a Power BI based reporting ecosystem and greater automation of data flows. • Ensure consistency of definitions, data models, and KPIs across all Finance tools and dashboards. Leadership Collaboration • Lead and develop a skilled MIS team with expertise in analytics, data management, and reporting. • Collaborate closely with Finance, Business Partners, IT, Risk, and Data Office stakeholders. • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management through clear, data driven insights
