Description
Purpose
Performs the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, including management reporting, investor and lender reporting and compilation of other monthly, quarterly and annual financial data. This position is also responsible for weekly/periodic borrowing base calculations and submissions to Treasury. This position will also assist backup some system administration duties focused on Oracle (ERP) and Cadency (Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations).
Responsibilities
- Prepares in accordance with GAAP and applicable reporting requirements, as required, all monthly, quarterly, annual and other periodic filings.
- Helps with technical accounting research and presents to leadership for decision making
- Records journal entries and completes account reconciliations as required
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Functions as secondary financial system administrator for access requests, hierarchy changes, etc.
- Supports implementation and maintenance of compliance program including SOX controls, internal and external audit support
- Supports special projects and initiatives as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
About You
- Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field or an equivalent amount of experience is required
- Minimum 2 years public or private accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, required
- Must be a self-starter who can work well within various situations
- Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Excellent PC and related spreadsheet application skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail critical for role
- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature manner required
- Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines
- Possess ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to ~10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
