Architect Enterprise Solutions with Impact

Join Symcor as a Technical Solutions Architect (TSA 2), reporting to the Director of Architecture. This individual contributor role focuses on designing and delivering high-performance enterprise solutions that bridge on-premises systems and emerging technologies. #LI-Hybrid

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Design and optimize enterprise application architectures for performance, scalability, and resilience
  • Support hybrid architecture strategies, integrating on-premises platforms with emerging cloud capabilities
  • Conduct technical assessments of vendor and in-house platforms for compatibility, security, and performance
  • Partner with engineers, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure implementation aligns with architecture
  • Lead database optimization and data modeling initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability

Education & Certification

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Azure certification (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-400) is a strong plus

Experience

  • 5+ years in software engineering
  • 5+ years in solution architecture
  • Strong background in on-premises systems, application platforms, and integration patterns
  • Hands-on experience with database optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud services is a strong plus
  • Financial Services experience is a plus

Core Technical Skills

Must-Have

  • Architecture & Delivery:
  • Experience leading Options Analysis and recommending optimal solution paths
  • Deep understanding of systems design: high availability, resilience, scalability, performance
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, RBAC, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI)

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Azure services (API Management, Data Factory, Functions, Databricks)
  • Familiarity with automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
  • Knowledge of AI services and data engineering pipelines
  • Advanced SQL, query optimization, indexing strategies, and data modeling

  • Works collaboratively across engineering, security, data, and business teams
  • Can translate business needs into structured, scalable solutions
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead technical discussions and reviews
  • Proactive, curious, and committed to practical innovation
