Job Role & Responsibilities |
Job Overview To lead the overall QA function (incoming quality, in process quality, outgoing quality, vendor parts quality & export supply quality) for the manufacturing location while interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure product quality. |
Responsibilities: - Independent handling of all QA functions for High-end Sports bikes
- Adopting and developing new quality standards, processes, for sustaining and improving product quality
- Leading and developing a diverse team for new capabilities and high performance. Ensuring team performance in regard to DWM, SIR of parts as per plan
- Examining the outgoing vehicle quality for functional, aesthetic, safety etc.
- Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
- Process audit at vendors & shops for verification of system compliance.
- Understanding customer expectations and needs from the product.
- Developing and improving supplier quality
- Knowledge of New product development process.
- Interface with R&D for rectifying quality issues and analysis
- Audits- Internal and vendor quality, TPM
- Analyzing statistical reports on quality standards and suggesting corrective measures
- Field failure analysis along with CQA – EFR / Warranty & initiating actions
- Guide concerned departments & vendors for implementing corrective & preventive actions.

Technical/ Functional: Technical - Knowledge on product conformance & deviations
- Data analysis and statistical aptitude
- 2-Wheeler product testing knowledge
- APQP- Advanced product quality planning
- Sound knowledge on supplier quality processes, NCDS.
- Knowledge in Press & Fabrication parts, Propriety & polymer parts.
- Knowledge on Engine parts and functions
- Material science knowledge of engine, vehicle, and painted parts
- Troubleshooting on supplier process issues and analysis.
- Knowledge electrical vehicle components viz. ECU, sensors
- Knowledge on homologation
Functional - Provide leadership and direction to a team on 30+ members.

Specific expertise required for functional area: - NCDS – New Component Development Systems - Quality processes, frameworks and standards. Knowledge of Quality tools such as:

- Shainin system,
- Cp-Cpk methodology,
- Stack-up analysis
- Knowledge on New Model development as per APQP process on Quality roles.
