We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team in revolutionizing the banking and insurance industries through cutting-edge AI technologies. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you bring a strong technical background in Fullstack engineering, with solid experience in DevOps and QA. While hands-on machine learning expertise is not required, we do value curiosity, interest, and a standard engineering-level understanding of it. In this role, you will be responsible for growing and leading a talented team to achieve ambitious delivery goals, establishing best practices for software development, and collaborating with other team leads to define and prioritize work. We work across borders in blended, multi-cultural teams.

Responsibilities

Grow and lead a team of software engineers
Architecture E2E solutions

Take a hands-on approach when needed to fix problems and remove obstacles.
Ensure scalable and high-quality software deliveries
Motivate teams with innovative and world-class software
Manage team growth and handle performance management cycles
Establish and maintain best practices for software development

Requirements

Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
Experience working in professional services, consulting, or similar client-facing environments.
Proven track record of delivering software solutions to external clients, from requirements gathering to successful deployment.
Ability to manage expectations, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and ensure high-quality delivery within agreed timelines.
Strong sense of accountability for both technical output and client satisfaction.
Strong understanding of core architectural concepts
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills and a hands-on approach to fixing issues.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Fluent in English
Experience in a regulated business environment such as insurance or banking is a plus
Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in a regulated industry is a plus
