Job Description: Tosca Automation Engineer / Lead (6–10 Years)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Tosca Automation Engineer with 6–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with strong expertise in SAP-based applications (ECC/S4HANA) and model-based test automation using Tricentis Tosca.
The candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions for SAP landscapes and enterprise applications, with end-to-end ownership of automation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Design (SAP Focus)
Define and drive automation strategy using Tosca TestSuite for SAP programs and enterprise landscapes.
Design model-based automation frameworks tailored for SAP applications such as SAP GUI, Fiori, and Web applications.
Implement risk-based test design focusing on critical SAP business processes including Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and FICO flows.
Identify automation opportunities across SIT, UAT, and Regression testing cycles within SAP ecosystems.
Tosca Development & Execution (SAP Focus)
Create and maintain Tosca test cases, modules, and reusable components for SAP applications.
Perform application scanning using XScan for SAP GUI, Fiori, and Web applications and handle dynamic objects.
Implement SAP test data management and parameterization for end-to-end process validation.
Execute automated test suites and analyze results across SAP integrated landscapes.
Test Management & Integration
Integrate Tosca automation with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with SAP functional teams, SMEs, and Business Analysts to align automation with business priorities.
Maintain test assets in Tosca Commander Workspace for structured execution and reporting.
Support test execution scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities.
Quality & Governance
Ensure adherence to testing standards, governance processes, and best practices in SAP transformation programs.
Contribute to test strategy, effort estimation, and planning activities.
Perform defect triage and root cause analysis for SAP application failures.
Provide regular status updates on quality metrics, risks, and release readiness.
Leadership & Mentoring (Applicable for Lead Roles)
Lead automation workstreams or small testing teams in SAP testing engagements.
Mentor junior testers on Tosca automation and SAP testing best practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including framework optimization, automation stability improvements, and automation maturity enhancement.

Core Skills
Strong experience in Tricentis Tosca TestSuite.
Mandatory experience in SAP testing within ECC and S/4HANA environments.
Expertise in Model-Based Testing.
Expertise in SAP Test Data Management.
Experience in API and UI automation for SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, and Web applications.
Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes and automation challenges.
Technical Skills
Experience integrating Tosca with Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Basic SQL knowledge and data validation experience.
Familiarity with test management tools such as QTest, ALM, and Jira.
Testing Expertise
Hands-on experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
Strong understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle, Test Design Techniques, and Risk-Based Testing.
Good to Have
Experience with Tosca Distributed Execution (DEX).
Hands-on exposure to SAP modules such as MM, SD, and FICO.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
Exposure to SAP Test Data Automation and Service Virtualization.
Knowledge of Generative AI applications in Testing.
Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder communication skills with SAP functional teams and business users.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional SAP transformation programs.
