Description

The Senior Staff Accountant at GenPact plays a pivotal role in the oversight and management of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions and records are up to date, accurate and meet strict corporate and regulatory standards. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of the Financial team and has a direct influence on GenPact's overall fiscal performance.

Responsibilities:

    • Managing the overall account functions including but not limited to account reconciliations and analysis.
    • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statement close processes. This also includes the generation of B/S, P/L, Cash Flow and other financial reports in a timely manner, and ensure they comply with GAAP and company policies.
    • Supporting annual cost budgeting and forecasting process, including periodic review and cost variance analysis.
    • Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
    • Streamlining and improving financial processes and systems to ensure they are efficient and robust.
    • Working collaboratively with other departments such as Finance, Operations, and the like to resolve financial discrepancies and disputes.

Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related course is a prerequisite. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a definitive plus.
    • A minimum of 5 years in a related role is required.
    • Experience with financial reporting requirements including IFRS.
    • Hands-on experience with use of various accounting software, ERP systems, and computer literate with strong excel skills.
    • Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
    • Well organized with ability to prioritize tasks, attention to details and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
