Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:
Calculate and maintain customer rebate accruals basis contractual terms (volume, growth, promotional, special rebates)
Ensure accurate monthly/quarterly rebate provisions in line with sales performance
Reconcile rebate balances between customer agreements, sales data, and finance records
Process rebate claims and coordinate with Sales, Commercial, and Controlling teams for validation and approval
Monitor rebate utilization vs. accruals and identify over/under provisions
Prepare journal entries for rebate accruals, reversals, and settlements
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies (including revenue recognition alignment where applicable)
Support audits by providing documentation and justification for rebate calculations
Maintain and update rebate master data and agreements
Drive process improvements in rebate process across various segments
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to rebates
Contribute to RtR month-end activities like accruals, prepaid journal postings during periods of lower rebate workload
Analyze rebate trends and provide insights to support commercial decision-making
What do you need to be successful in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Good understanding of IFRS15, rebate accounting, accruals, settlements, reconciliations, and related financial impacts.
Knowledge of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; good command of written and spoken English.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is an advantage.
