To support our growth plans, we have an opportunity for a Audit/Accounts Assistant (placement student) to join our Guildford team. This is a full-time, fixed term role for 12 months.
Responsibilities
As part of the Audit and Accounts teams, to assist with various audit, accounting and bookkeeping tasks on a day-to-day basis.
Under the supervision of the Partners, Managers and Audit staff:
- Assist with audit and accounting assignments and the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts as required.
- Assist with the preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Other Duties and tasks
Such other duties as may be reasonably expected of the post holder.
Decision Making/ Freedom to Act
Ability to work on own initiative, but to seek guidance when appropriate. All work to be reviewed and agreed at an appropriate level.

Requirements
About youQualifications and Experience
- Predicted 2.2 degree or higher in any discipline.
- Preferably 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Mathematics minimum grade 6 (B) and English Language minimum grade 4/5 (C)
- Educated to ‘A’ Level (minimum 120 UCAS points from top 3 A levels excluding General Studies).
- Experience of MS Office products, in particular competence in Word and Excel
Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Professional attitude when dealing with clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to form good relationships with staff and clients.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate work.
- Ability to plan and organise tasks/priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
- Self motivation and uses initiative appropriately to resolve problems.
- The ability to work flexibly, with willingness to travel to client sites and the Firm’s other office in London if required.
