We are seeking an experienced **Infrastructure Automation Engineer** to play a key role in driving the automation and modernisation of our hybrid IT infrastructure within the Distributed Systems Group (DSG).
## Tasks
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, build, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions across hybrid environments
* Develop and manage **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell
* Integrate automation into **CI/CD pipelines** to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
* Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, platform, application, and security teams
* Contribute to automation standards, documentation, and governance
## Requirements
* Strong experience with **IaC tools** (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
* Proficiency in **scripting** (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
* Solid understanding of **on-premises and cloud infrastructure** (Azure, AWS, VMware)
* Experience working in **DevOps or agile environments**
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
**Desirable**
* Experience with **containerisation and orchestration** (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Familiarity with **GitOps** tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
* Relevant certifications (Terraform, Azure, AWS)
