Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the role is to proactively lead, develop, challenge and transform Finance Operations teams across 2 regions (EMEA & APAC) as part of the Global Finance Operations team.

The role works alongside the Regional Finance Operations lead for NAM & LATAM and as part of the Global Finance Operations leadership team you will contribute to optimizing and standardizing our finance operations processes, structure and ways of working globally.

The job holder will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities, improvements, global standardization and BAU ownership of AP, Billing, AR and Cash App processes across a Regional dispersed team of c60, with 4 to 5 direct reports.

You will create best in class processes, cohesive ways of working regardless of location and enabling and supporting the business in growth / acquisition by absorbing more volume into our processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify pain points, risks in controls and areas for automation across existing Finance operations processes, present solutions to improve and implement supporting HH Global strategic and financial objectives to minimize risks and maximize efficiency globally
  • Support the Global Head of Finance Operations and Finance Operations leadership team in implementing the vision and strategy promoting its services to the business and acting as a role model to HH Global employees
  • Instigate a service culture and strong customer service orientation within the team
  • Identify differences in processes and ways of working across all regions, with proposal and plan to address and align those
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with high-volume transactions and low value payables
  • Working extremely closely with NAM & LATAM Finance Operations lead to identify opportunities to standardize all processes globally (with exception of in-country legal differences) to create a Global Finance Operations team that provides consistent service and experience to our business no matter where in the world the activity takes place
  • Lead, mentor, develop and create a high performing, integrated and proactive team operating as ‘one team’ regardless of location or Manager
  • Ensure clear expectations are set and implemented in terms of roles and responsibilities across the teams and that key P2P and I2C activities are in place, reiterated and proactively being managed by the in country team leads/managers specifically including chasing of debit balances on the creditors ledger, supplier statement recs, KPI reporting, ability to prioritize, timely allocation of cash and chasing of debt, understanding of the debt position and escalating when necessary etc
  • Work closely with and support Finance Operations leadership team on strategic way forward to support development of long-term Finance Operations plans to become a ‘best in class’ function
  • Develop key KPIs and metrics of AP + AR teams, standardize globally and opportunities to improve
  • Accountable for ensuring Finance Operations adheres to Compliance & Risk frameworks supporting regulatory requirements specifically, but not limited to Compliance and Internal Audit
  • Accountable for the implementation and adherence of the overall controls of the Finance Operations region, policies and procedures, including segregation policies and procedures, and transaction management, underpinned with evidential documents / process maps to demonstrate this

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Experience of leading sizeable global Finance Operations teams
  • Proven experience of process improvements and transforming processes globally
  • Strong delivery leadership experience with successful examples of driving and managing change and programs of work
  • Proactive style and not afraid to get stuck in / hands on when needed
  • Experience of collaborating cross-functionally and driving results while working with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Naturally collaborative style, but with a determination to achieve the right outcomes, to help the whole team succeed
  • Ability to work and lead effectively
  • Experienced and strong leader and supporter of idea generation and ways to problem solve with the team below them
  • Experience working in a multinational organization with a geographically dispersed workforce
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires a proactive and results oriented professional with a passion for process improvement and continuous improvement
