We are seeking a Facade Engineer with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience to join our team.

Job Description

• Assist in the engineering design and analysis of façade and glazing systems, including curtain walls, storefronts, window walls, and specialty glazing assemblies.
• Develop structural calculations for aluminum framing members, anchors, and connections to various substrates such as concrete, steel, and wood.
• Perform glass design and analysis in accordance with applicable codes using industry-accepted software and engineering methods.
• Prepare clear and well-structured calculation reports documenting design assumptions, load paths, and code compliance.
• Review architectural drawings, project specifications, and contract documents to establish design criteria and engineering scope.
• Prepare and review the Basis of Design (BOD) for façade and glazing systems for each project.
• Conduct wind load, seismic load, and other applicable load calculations as per governing U.S. building codes and project-specific requirements.
• Review and comment on fabrication and shop drawings to ensure alignment with engineered design and project specifications.
• Provide technical engineering support to installation teams, including resolving field challenges, connection issues, and constructability concerns.
• Work closely with drafting and 3D modeling teams to ensure accurate representation of engineered systems and connection details.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to clarify technical requirements and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and site-related engineering issues.
• Support the development of standard details, design tools, and internal engineering resources for façade systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant U.S. codes and standards (such as IBC, ASCE 7, AAMA, ASTM, etc.) and project-specific performance criteria.
• Work proactively in a fast-paced project environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and engineering quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil/Structural), Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in Architecture/Building/Construction Industry. Preferably with previous experience with Façade/Architectural works – structural steel, curtain wall, sky light, metal works, inspection, quality control, etc.
• Familiarity with façade access systems and the review of technical drawings and submissions.
• Demonstrate a desire to work in a multidisciplinary team finding holistic building design solutions.
• Proficient in CAD, BIM (2D/3D)/Sketch up or other design softwares.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Points.
